Abstract: The article presents the evolution of online commerce in Romania, during the last years and tries to identify the factors leading to the present situation. Main data are gathered from the national and international institutes and research methods are based on observation, documentation, comparison, analysis and synthesis. Results are useful in order to create marketing strategies better adapted to Romanians' mentality and purchasing power.
