Abstract: The current world energy policy envisages the expansion of alternative electricity production. Bio-gas plants are one of the energy sources which fulfil this assumption with the digestate by-product which is often applied as a fertilizer for farmland. Impact of this fertilizing method is not well known. This paper evaluates the changes of selected soil properties of corn crop production depending on applied fertilizer (manure, mineral fertilizer and digestate) of the growing season 2014 and 2015. The results show the influence of selected fertilizers on the physical condition of the soil.
