Abstract: The health of an individual is the basis of the progress and prosperity of any society. In this aspect, the health care professionals' activities related to protecting, strengthening and improving the health and working capacity of the person and ensuring their active longevity are of particular importance. The paper examines the role of the modern nurse in terms of the health education of the population for the development of active health behavior in order to preserve and improve the public health.
