Streszczenie: Since independence until today, in the period from 1991-2008, were prepared more energy strategies, with funds from foreign sources, but they have not been adopted or implemented by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia. The lack of vision and lack of a long term strategy for the development and operation of the energy sector led to strong stagnation in its development and improvement. This has resulted in the need to carry the Energy Development Strategy of the Republic of Macedonia. Energy Development Strategy in the Republic of Macedonia for the period 2008-2020 with a vision to 2030 was made at the request of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Macedonia. This paper will analyze the most strategic commitments of the Republic of Macedonia which are supposed to offer opportunities for a secure energy future. In this context, paper will analyze the oil and gas pipeline in the region of Southeast Europe and the possibilities for achieving the concept of diversification of energy sources.
