Streszczenie: The concentration of Pb, Zn and Cu was established in dominant herbivorous fish species Scardinius erythrophthalmus (Linnaeus, 1758), in macrophytes Ceratophyllum demersum L., Myriophyllum spicatum L., Phragmites australis (Cav.) Trin. ex Steud.,water and sediments in freshwater ecosystem of Biosphere Reserve "Srebarna". The interrelationships between the content of the trace metals in rudd, its nutrients, water and sediments was examined. The current research studied the main routes of entry of Pb, Zn and Cu in the objects of the study. The Bioconcentration factor (BCF) and the Biomagnification factor (BMF) were estimated. We have established a pronounced bioindicators for monitoring the degree of contamination of freshwater ecosystems with Zn, Pb and Cu.
