Streszczenie: The banking sector of Turkey faced a financial crisis that resulted in the closure of many banks in 2001. Transition to Strong Economy program put into effect for making structural changes in the financial system after the crisis and practices for financial stability was implemented by the Central Bank in the years following. This study aims to reveal descriptively effects of Transition to Strong Economy Program (GEGP) in the last 15 years and later on, policies executed intend to financial stability on banking system on the basis of banking sector indicators.
