Streszczenie: The design of hydrogen–filtering membrane module (MM) based on Pd/Ag foil of 30 μm thickness is presented. Filtering characteristics were studied in the temperature range of 25-550ºC and pressure drops up to 176.5 kPa. It is shown that such properties of MM as permeability, limitation of H2- transport by adsorption, the effective magnitude of the activation energy are closed to those of palladium composite membranes. At the same time the advantage of MM is H2-selectivity of 100%. The results of studying the catalytic dehydrogenation of propane at 550ºC in the combined membrane reactor with the alumina-chromium (9.0 wt % Cr) catalyst and palladium MM are presented. It is shown that the performance of membrane reactor is dependent on the flow rates of the propane and sweep gas. Under optimized conditions, i.e. at a propane flow rate of 10 ml/min and sweep gas flow of 100 ml/min the yield of propylene is 1.6 times higher than the equilibrium value at 550ºС.
