Biography
Oleksandr Honcharov is a Ukrainian Professor and researcher in materials science and applied mathematics. Since 2014, he has been a Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Complex Systems Modeling at Sumy State University (Sumy, Ukraine). Earlier, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Donbass State Engineering Academy (1999–2014) and held research roles at Donetsk National University.
His research focuses on nanostructured thin films and coatings, including PVD techniques (vacuum-arc evaporation, magnetron sputtering), development of high-hardness and thermally stable multicomponent coatings (nitrides and borides of transition metals), formation mechanisms, and modeling of structural, thermal, and deformation processes in nanocomposites.
