Rezumat: The article provides analysis of three prose texts: “Voroshilovgrad” by Sergiy Zhadan, “Port Frankivs’k” by Taras Prohas’ko, “Rivne/Rovno (The Wall)” by Olexander Irvanetz to research the background of “urban autobiography” term. The authors in the mentioned texts do not describe really existing cities (Voroshilovgrad, Port Frankivs’k) or actual events (separation of Rivno city into two parts), thus incarnating memories or dreams, showing their world view. The texts have features of novel, novelet, quasi-autobiography, alternate history, essay, which allows identifying its metagenre nature.
