Rezumat: Changes in the landscape of higher education in Hong Kong have impinged on the international degrees offered by external providers. National accreditation of international programmes offered in collaboration with university partners by local education authority is considered desirable by institutions in Hong Kong, to maintain their competitive edge and move into the market for students from mainland China. The aim of this study is to examine the value against investment on national accreditation of international programmes in Hong Kong through a case study at The Hong Kong University School of Continuing and Professional Education (HKU SPACE). Interesting and positive findings have been attained so far, but the value against investment warrants further investigation due to various debatable factors, critical evaluation, and the changing landscape of higher education in the region.
