Rezumat: Corporate Social Responsibility attracts much attention among managers, entrepreneurship, owners, business environment institutions, investors and state administration bodies. This paper presents the concept, essence and role of corporate social responsibility. The principles, guidelines and standards in terms of this concept were discussed. The results of the examinations concerning the status of implementation of standards for corporate social responsibility in enterprises were presented. The case studies for small and medium-sized enterprises that operate in Poland were also discussed with examples of practical activity.
