Rezumat: The kinetics of the structure and properties formation in the process of carbonization in the manufacture of carbon-carbon composite materials is experimentally studied. It is established that the process at elevated pressure proceeds optimally up to 100 MPa. A conditional model of coal pitch is proposed. It is expected that that the effect of pressure on the value of the output of the solid carbon products of carbonization of hydrocarbons from the coal tar pitch may be due to the transition of a mixture of low molecular weight products of pyrolysis in supercritical "fluid" state. It is shown that the physico-chemical basis of the carbonization process at high pressure is the competition of pyrolysis, recombination and diffusion rates. The identified mechanism can be used to control the kinetics of the process by varying the initial composition of the hydrocarbon mixture by enriching it with less high-molecular products that pass into a supercritical state at lower levels of temperature and pressure of the medium.
