Rezumat: Cathodic protection (CP) is the only electrochemical technique, able to minimize or stop chloride- induced corrosion in reinforced concrete. The conventional CP, however, has various side effects. This paper discusses a better alternative – pulse cathodic prevention, applied at significantly lower current densities, achieving the required level of protection and expected to exert minimum or none side effects.
