Abstract: The powder oxide layer is formed at the interface between the metal and monolithic oxide after several days of titanium oxidation of bulk titanium samples at 750-900°C. The produced titanium oxides were characterized by means of SEM, XRD techniques. The formation mechanism of the powder oxide layer is discussed.
