Abstract: The goal of treatment of the chronically ill is to maintain a satisfactory long-term good health, to avoid complications by improving the quality of life. The family nurse has a major role in the multidisciplinary team. The publication presents the results of a study of the weaknesses and gaps in health care for the chronically ill. The disclosure displays a methodology based on international experience to improve the registration system and hence the quality of health care. Used methods: documentary, survey, statistical data processing and evaluation.
