Abstract: The impact of foliar zinc application on the chlorophyll, carotenoid and vitamin C content was studied. The small-plot field experiment with broccoli was established in the area of Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra in 2015. The zinc was applied by in the form of Zinkuran SC fertilizer at two treatments (0,75 l.ha-1 and 1,5 l.ha-1). The foliar application of Zn fertilizer solution in two concentrations was applied 6 weeks after broccoli planting. The increasing Zn dose was expressed by higher content of all determined bioactive substances in broccoli florets.
