Abstract: The activity of apoptosis in blood of residents of large cities is characterized by an imbalance of proand anti-apoptotic factors, which may cause a violation of adaptation and metabolic mechanisms. The use of iodine-containing drugs contributes to maintaining the balance of pro- and anti-apoptotic factors in the blood, which has a positive effect on the health status of people living in ecologically unfavorable regions.
