Abstract: The article presents the possibilities of using the microwave electromagnetic radiation to intensify the treatment of municipal sewage and their sediments. Technical and economic parameters and experimental data, indicating the possibility of the use of microwave electromagnetic radiation in technologies of sewage and their sediments treatment, are presented. The experiments confirm the improvement of the sludge properties: decrease of their volume and humidity, improvement of water yielding properties, odor removal and disinfection.
Keywords: method of treatment, waste water, sewage, sludge, sediments, microwave electromagnetic radiation
