Abstract: The present work is a review of activity of haloalkane dehalogenase (DbjA). Bacterial strain Bradyrhizobium japonicum USDA 110 produces such enzyme, which degrades halogenated aliphatic pollutants. The DbjA dehalogenase is highly tolerant to pH and temperature changes. Bradyrhizobium japonicum USDA 110 displays wide substrate specificity towards 1,2 – dibromoethane.
