Abstract: The purpose of the research is to configure the region of Western Asia and a reference country Belarus in three dimensions of a political economy: population, capital income (GDP/GNI PPP) and human development (HDI). The author analysis the diversity within a target region and between the region and the reference country, show where it fits in the scale of world experience and point shortcomings in the data as well as in measurements. Comparative analysis technique is used.
