Abstract: This article is dedicated to one of the most important challenges of today – the problem of the estimation of the quality of urban territory and the comfort of urban life. In this article the main existing methods of estimating the urban comfort are given and a proprietary methodology of estimating the urban life comfort in different kinds of settlements, mainly towns and mid-sized cities, is suggested.
