Abstract: The article addresses the problem of the process approach implementation in the Polish public administration. In order to analyse it, an extensive survey was conducted on a sample of 495 entities using the CAWI questionnaire technique supported by the CATI survey, aimed at diagnosing the barriers involved in implementation of the process approach in local administration authorities. The results thus obtained have enabled verification of the research hypotheses assumed for purposes of the article, with reference to which final conclusions have been drawn.
