Abstract: According to our hypothesis increase of forest exploitation intensity must have lead to selection inside the population directed to primary reproduction of sharp scale forms of spruce. The portion of variations with round seed scales is larger in areas with rare fires than in surrounding stands. Modern structure of spruce populations on Eastern-European plain does not reflect the structure of spruce populations according to phenoform of seed scales in geographical gradient after glacier contraction.
