Abstract: The main purpose of the paper is to identify, generalize the attitudes of Kazakh youth to the oral speech by analyzing the results of a survey organized to determine the extent to which modern Kazakh youth uses their native language – the Kazakh language at the domestic and professional level, how it is used for communication, education purposes, what is the quality of speech in front of the public audience. For this purpose, a survey of Kazakh youth aged 18 to 22 years studying at Nazarbayev University and Suleyman Demirel University was conducted, which determines the purpose and level of use of Kazakh, Russian and English languages, their attitude to the public speaking of public personalities who speak Kazakh at a high level and their desire to improve the quality of their languages. Moreover, quantitative and qualitative analysis of the survey results has been carried out. The paper describes the process and results of this survey, summarizes the results of the research.
