Abstract: A numerical method for the synthesis of controllers for pulsed automatic control systems (ACS) is proposed. The method is oriented toward computer based technologies and employs interpolation procedures and iterative approaches to obtain the desired solution. The approach is based on the method of inverse problems of dynamics and a real interpolation method for the analysis of linearized dynamic systems. Brief information on the method is presented, including the procedure for converting a model of a system into discrete form and the algorithm for parametric controller synthesis. The tuning parameter is the specified overshoot value. The proposed tuning technology can be extended to enhance the robustness of automatic control systems with respect to settling time. The method is characterized by low computational cost, which makes it suitable for real time applications, for example in self tuning automatic control systems.
