Abstract: The extraction of copper, zinc and ironfrom hydrochloric acid solutionshas been studied. The experiments have been carried out using various solvents, involving different extraction mechanisms – solvating, anion-exchange, kation-exchange, bifunctional. Mixtures of these extractants have been also used. The extraction properties of these extractant mixtures toward copper, zinc and iron, the effect of used modifiers and diluents have been also investigated.
Keywords: copper, zinc, iron, extraction, extractant, modifier, diluent
