Abstract: Direct oxidation of hydrocarbons containing in natural and accompanying petroleum gases is considered as a perspective way to convert them into various valuable and important chemicals. This 0 radical chain process is carrying out at temperatures 400 – 500 C and pressures over 10 bar. It has been shown that the main products during the oxidation of hydrocarbons C3 – C4 are methanol, water, formaldehyde, carbon oxide and olefins. The effect of pressure and concentration of oxygen on the yield of the indicated products was investigated.
Keywords: natural gas, petroleum-associated gases, oxidative conversion
