Abstract: The inhibiting effect of piperidine derivatives on the corrosion behavior of steel (St3) in a hydrogen sulfide containing medium was studied using potentiodynamic and capacitance curve measurements. A series of calculations was carried out to establish the relationship between the protective properties and the chemical structure of the inhibitors.
