Streszczenie: The professional preparedness of the teacher is related to his / her diagnostic abilities, which are based on the knowledge of methods and techniques of pedagogical diagnostics and which are directed to the optimisation of the educational and pedagogical process. The application of the knowledge of special educational diagnosis and pedagogical-psychological diagnosis then allows distinguishing individual preconditions and possibilities of education and raising the pupils with special educational needs.
