Rezumat: The subject of the lecture is to define basic terminology and to introduce the results of the research oriented on determination the level of differentiation of partial abilities of pupils in chosen spheres of communicative competence. This was done in comparison with expected outcomes for pre-school education. On the basis of the analysis of the results the article contains specific suggestions and measures in special-pedagogical support for pupils with mild mental disability in primary education.
