Rezumat: Soil buffering is the ability of the soil to stop nutrient or pH changes by absorption. For soils, it is the capability of absorbing nutrients and also releasing them. Humic acids and clay minerals have good buffer qualities. The aim of this paper was to monitor the impact of different soil tillage on buffering function. The study was carried out on Experimental working place of PPRC – Agriculture Research Institute Michalovce. Selected soil properties were observed on experimental variant and control variant from depths 0.0-0.6 m from ich 0.1m. Soil tillage affects significantly the soil pH. The difference between conventional tillage and no–tillage was significant. High dispersion value of soil reaction was detected on both variants (experimental variant from 5.49 to 6.31, control variant 5.29 to 5.91).
