Rezumat: Nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) for a biotechnological process has been developed in this paper. The approaches conditions that guarantee stability of the closed-loop has been derived if an NMPC state feedback controller is used together with a full state observer for the recovery of the system state for a biotechnological process. The method is applied for a biotechnological process for Ethanol production. The developed control algorithm ensures maximal Ethanol production at the end of the process and guarantees a feedback on disturbance as well as robustness to process disturbances.
Cuvinte cheie: biotechnological process, nonlinear model predictive control, output feedback, stability
