Biography
Paweł Żukowski, Dr. habil. (Physical Sciences), is Professor and Head of the Chair of Electrical Equipment and High Voltage Technology at Lublin University of Technology, Poland (Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science). Born on August 27, 1950, in Minsk, Belarus, he graduated in Physics from Belarusian State University in 1972 and built his early academic career there and at the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute. He earned his PhD in 1980 and completed his habilitation (Dr. Sci.) in 1992 at Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin.
Since 1993 he has worked at Lublin University of Technology, becoming head of his chair in 2003. He has been awarded the Cavalier Cross (2003) and Officer’s Cross (2012) of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, as well as the Medal of the Commission of National Education. His current research focuses on metal dielectric nanocomposites, their structure and electrical and magnetic properties and modeling, as well as non destructive diagnostics and moisture control methods for high voltage transformer insulation.
