Biography
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Snežana Ilić-Stojanović is a Serbian researcher and university lecturer specializing in chemistry, chemical technology, and advanced polymer and pharmaceutical materials. She works at the University of Niš, Faculty of Technology in Leskovac, where she is currently Associate Professor and serves as Head of the Department of Organic Technological Sciences, as well as Head of the Laboratory for Textile and Polymer Engineering.

Dr. Ilić-Stojanović earned her PhD in Technical Sciences in 2013 with research focused on the synthesis and characterization of thermosensitive hydrogels for potential pharmaceutical applications. Her scientific expertise includes the synthesis, characterization, and application of synthetic and natural organic, polymeric, and pharmaceutical compounds, using a wide range of analytical techniques (FTIR, XRD, UV-Vis, SEM/EDX, DSC, HPLC, GPC, and others).

Before entering academia, she built strong industry experience at the pharmaceutical and chemical company ZDRAVLJE (Actavis) in Leskovac, working in organic synthesis R&D, informatics management, documentation, and intellectual property. She is also a licensed patent, trademark, and design attorney in Serbia.

Dr. Ilić-Stojanović has published extensively in international and national journals, authored books and book chapters, contributed numerous conference presentations, and holds multiple patents and technical solutions. Her work has received international recognition, including a Gold Medal for an invention related to thermosensitive hydrogels and pharmaceutical applications.
