Abstract: The analysis focuses on the importance of developing and applying a comprehensive and systematic set of sustainability measures in business enterprises. It suggests that the adoption of such measures is cost-neutral and can become a source of competitive advantage for companies, operating in various economic sectors. This can lead to the creation of value through the introduction of clean technologies while at the same time minimizing the expenses. In addition to providing competitive advantage, sustainability measures could benefit workers, communities and indigenous cultures.
Keywords: sustainability, cost effectiveness, profitability, clean technologies
