Abstract: The paper reveals main characteristics of the COVID-19 related loan moratorium in Bulgaria. The implications for non-financial corporations, households and banks are discussed. The recent developments regarding the take-up of the loan repayment deferrals are described and analysed. Suggestions about the possible future path of recovery phase after the expiration of the moratorium are provided.
